Who You Are:
The Property Management Assistant is a key support position for the Catholic Charities of Oregon Caritas Housing Program. This position provides administrative & resident support for the self-managed affordable housing properties across the State of Oregon. The Property Management Assistant reports to the Director of Asset Management and works closely with other team members. The location of the position is with the Housing team at Catholic Charities' main office in SE Portland
What You Will Work On:
- Provide property management of and assist with accounting for scattered site supportive housing operated by Catholic Charities, including but not limited to maintaining leases, generating required notices and other documents, conducting inspections move-in, move-out
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents in Catholic Charities self-managed properties who have property management-related questions/concerns
- Maintain and regularly update property budgets and financial performance reports, identify, and escalate to Director any unfavorable metrics and recommendations to address them.
What You Bring:
Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences
- Bachelor's Degree (4-Year Program) or equivalent lived and or worked experience.
Experience Requirements/Preferences
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in a non-profit environment. Interest and experience working in affordable housing strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience related to residential property management. Interest or experience working in affordable housing strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively work with standard office programs and have intermediate to advanced ability in Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.
